Membership
Friends of the Arts is a unique non-profit organization supported entirely by annual contributions from the membership, which includes over 400 people from the Davidson community and from as far away as Arizona. We also receive a few matching grants from corporations whose employees are members, and a small number of contributions from local businesses.

Why should I give to Friends of the Arts?
Members of Friends of the Arts at Davidson have the pleasure of knowing that their generosity makes a difference by:
- supporting Artists-in-Residence, bringing outstanding persons in music, the theatre, and visual arts to the campus for performances and exhibits, and other arts events which otherwise could not take place;
- sponsoring an outreach program that brings school children to the college for gallery exhibits, and open rehearsals;
- making outreach programs possible, taking cultural arts events into local schools, and providing theatre and music programs at the Pines Retirement Community; and
- facilitating the cultural arts experiences of FOA members.

Members have priority for tickets to popular arts events at Davidson College. - Updates on the latest cultural events at the College and in the community
- Subscription to the college's monthly Oak Row Report which gives detailed information on all events at Davidson.
- Subscription to Friends of the Arts monthly eNews.
- Advance notifications of special cultural opportunities.
- Special volunteer opportunities
- Personal service on questions about membership, arts events, and other benefits

For all these reasons, we hope you will decide to join us in our mission and commitment to the arts in our community. Membership is available at various levels of commitment, with exciting benefits for each one.
