Who We Are
Davidson College Friends of the Arts is a donor-supported organization that informs and energizes audiences for the arts at the college, strengthens the bonds between the college and the larger community, and serves as a unifying cultural force in the region. Strongly rooted in the college's commitment to enrich mind, body, and spirit, Friends of the Arts is dedicated to arts education and increasing visibility and support of the arts at Davidson College.

The generosity of the members of Friends of the Arts supports artists-in-residence, provides student music scholarships, and brings outstanding figures in music, theatre and the visual arts to the campus for performances and exhibits. Friends of the Arts also supports outreach programs, taking cultural arts events into local schools, and providing theatre and music programs in our community.

We are a part of the Davidson College Annual Fund, and your gift will count toward Alumni participation.

Why should I give to Friends of the Arts?

Members of Friends of the Arts have the pleasure of knowing that their generosity makes a difference by:

• supporting Artists-in-Residence, bringing outstanding persons in music, the theatre, and visual arts to the campus for performances and exhibits, and other arts events which otherwise could not take place;
• sponsoring an outreach program that brings school children to the college for gallery exhibits, and open rehearsals;
• making outreach programs possible, taking cultural arts events into local schools, and providing theatre and music programs at the Pines Retirement Community; and
• facilitating the cultural arts experiences of FOA members.
• supporting the Annual Fund at Davidson College.
