Despite spending considerable time and energy growing the S&D Coffee Company of Concord, North Carolina, Roy Davis has devoted much effort for Davidson.

Throughout the years he has served on the Parents Council (when his son Rhyne '86 attended the College), led the Concord chapter as president and sat on the Board of Visitors. Also, he has worked hard to raise money for Davidson, as an Annual Fund Class Chairman and Ne Ultra Agent. In recent years he chaired the Campaign for Davidson effort in Concord, the first regional kickoff of the national campaign.

Because of your reliable leadership, your gracious hosting of alumni events in your house and your interest in strengthening the extra curricular life of our students, the Alumni Association wishes to express its gratitude with the Alumni Service Award for you, James Roy Davis, on the occasion of your class' 35th Reunion.
