Hard work is always appreciated and when it is performed by a volunteer, hard work is especially impressive. Bill Keith has carried more than his share of the load for Davidson, and he has labored faithfully in a task that most prefer not to shoulder - fund raising.

Over the year's he has served as Annual Fund class agent, class chairman, decade chairman, national vice chairman, and national chairman. In addition, he has served on the Wildcat Club Board and sports complex committee. And he has done all of this with a sense of humor and an easy style, both of which are greatly valued by fellow volunteers and College staff.

William H. Keith, because you have manifested your belief in the ideals of Davidson College through your considerable efforts on its behalf and because you have done so with the virtues of humility and friendliness, the Alumni Association presents you with this Alumni Service Award on the occasion of your class' 45th Reunion.
