STARING, art exhibition
Inspired by Rosemarie Garland-Thomson's book Staring: How We Look, the exhibit extends the book’s novel exploration into the valuable possibilities of the complicated, and often forbidden, act of staring, October 16 - December 9 in the Van Every Gallery, Belk Visual Arts Center.

EPIC Sponsors Four Service Saturday Trips on November 14, 2009
On November 14th, the Service Saturday Program will attend four Charlotte-based agencies that focus on homelessness and housing. Service Saturdays is a local community service experience organized on one saturday a month. A group of 12 - 15 students, faculty and staff work together on a service project while learning about a local non-profit organization.

Saturday, November 14 at 4:00 pm in Belk Arena, Baker Sports Complex.
7:30 pm Alice In Wonderland
This innovative adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s uproarious book is aimed at adults as it brings out the classic story’s darkness, surreality, and loopy humor. Running from Wednesday-Sunday, November 11-15 in the Barber Theatre. Times Vary.
8:00 pm Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
The Davidson College Music Department presents the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, November 14, in the Duke Family Performance Hall. $20 General Admission, $16 Faculty/Staff, $12 Students. Tickets available at the Union Ticket Office.
