STARING, art exhibition
Inspired by Rosemarie Garland-Thomson's book Staring: How We Look, the exhibit extends the book’s novel exploration into the valuable possibilities of the complicated, and often forbidden, act of staring, October 16 - December 9 in the Van Every Gallery, Belk Visual Arts Center.
11:00 am Project Life Bone Marrow Typing Drive
Project Life's goal is to increase the number of potential donors on the Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry by typing every willing student and staff or faculty member, as well as community members, without cost to the individual.
11:30 am Overland Adventures Information Table
Overland offers outdoor trips (hiking & bicycle touring), service projects, language study abroad, writing programs and environmental sciences to students ages 11-18.

Mark A. Hanf, Class of 2000, artist, author and professor will deliver two lectures in the Semans Lecture Hall of the Belk Visual Arts Center on Tuesday, November 10.

The Music Department presents Artist Associate Cynthia Lawing in a recital celebrating the bicentennial of composer and pianist Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin's birth. Tuesday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Tyler-Tallman Hall, Sloan Music Center. Free and open to the public.
