Reid Harding Erwin, Jr. '85 (Year Awarded--1995) His involvement as a student predicted his considerable work on behalf of the College as an alumnus. As a hall counselor, honor court member, college union leader, and student government member, he enriched our experiences. And who can forget him as the wildcat mascot! In the ten years since he left the campus, his commitment to Davidson and his classmates remained vibrant. For eleven years he worked as an annual fund chairman and agent, and for five years he led the Davidson Alumni Admission Program team in Houston, Texas. His service has been constant and energetic, and his genuine respect for others crosses the boundaries of fraternity, eating house, and class. When he leads others gladly follow. Because you have served Davidson loyally and reliably for a decade, the Alumni Association expresses its sincere appreciation by presenting you, Harding Erwin, this Young Alumnus Service Award on the occasion of your class' tenth reunion.
