Getting canoes ready

Backcountry crews spend two days in tandem canoes on whitewater. Here are some river staff getting boats ready at the put in for the first day of paddling. We start right from the beginning. We will teach you how to sit in the canoe, how to hold the paddle, and so on. You just need to bring a good attitude and maybe some sunscreen.
