Vision

The Davis Cafe, within the next five years, will be recognized as a leader in cash operations within the NACUFS organization.  The Davis Cafe will be known for its superior quality with creative, progressive and well-received menu items.  

Strategic Goals

The Davis Café is committed to providing exceptional customer service to the Davidson community.  We will continue to build upon our success of last year with an ever changing and diverse menu.  In addition we will test a new station dedicated to the creation of Southwestern items like tacos, burritos, etc.  We will continue to offer a self service salad bar with a focus on providing a changing look and variety of ingredients to keep the offering appealing and fresh.

We are faced with double digit inflation on many food items due to rising energy costs and inclement weather conditions across the country.  We will continue to work to keep costs down by partnering with our vendors, streamlining our processes and improving efficiency without reducing our quality.  We will also continue to look at purchasing options with local growers to build an organic option when it it financially beneficial to you. Our benchmarks will continue to be to compare our costs with our chief competitors to give our customers the most affordable price.

As always we will provide intense scrutiny of our operation in the area of sanitation.  The Davis Café has always achieved high sanitation scores with the Health Department and is proud of scoring 100% or more on several occasions over the years.

This year we will step up our commitment to a clean and sustainable environment. Cash Operations is committed to an environment where shiny stainless, clean windows, counters, floors and a clutter free workplace greet you and is as friendly as our employee’s smiles.  And what has become very routine with leadership, we will continue to look for ways to save our environment.

Our focus will continue to be on providing a positive working environment and continuous training to our employees to improve efficiency.  The Davis Café’s commitment to quality, freshness and creativity is very competitive when compared to other college snack bars.  As a result the demand to train and motivate our employees is crucial to maintaining a suitable level of success with our valued community.
