Application Methods

To apply to Davidson as a first-year or international student, please choose one of the following application methods  (transfer applicants who are US citizens should use the Common Application):

Option 1 - Davidson Application Online

  • Complete and submit Part I of the Davidson Application online*
  • After we receive your online Part I, Part II will be mailed to you as soon as possible. You may also download Part II of the Davidson Application. (Part II includes all supplemental application materials)
  • Complete and mail in Part II to the address at bottom left

*Though any application option is fine, submitting your application online (via Option 1) is the most efficient way to begin the application process.  We encourage you to explore that option now, so that we might prepare your file in anticipation of receiving your Part II.


Option 2 - Common Application

To assist with the supplemental written responses, please refer to the Davidson College Honor Code.  For information about Davidson's Merit Scholarship Program and for a printable version of the Special Application Scholarship Form, please refer to Merit-Based Scholarships.

*Both Teacher Recommendation 1 and Teacher Recommendation 2 are required, as well as Davidson's own Peer Recommendation.
**There is no application fee for non-US citizens.


Option 3 - Davidson Paper Application

  • Download, complete, and mail Davidson's Part I and Part II, along with your $50 application fee, to the address at bottom left.

Notes

No matter the option you choose, use the Online Application Checklist to ensure that you have completed all required forms for either the Davidson Application or the Common Application.  The Online Application Checklist also has links to all pertinent online forms.

Be aware of these Important Dates as you prepare your application materials.

The Early Decision Agreement is required of all students applying under one of Davidson's Early Decision Plans.
