Research Consultations

Personalized assistance for in-depth research

Research consultations provide faculty, students, and staff with the opportunity to meet individually (or in small groups) with a librarian to discuss possible information resources and search strategies for research projects, class assignments, papers, presentations, honors theses, and the like. Meetings usually last thirty minutes to an hour.

Note: Consultations are available to Davidson College students, faculty, and staff only. We regret that we cannot schedule research consultations for people unaffiliated with the college.

Schedule a research consultation

To schedule a research consultation, please complete the Research Consultation Request Form. Be sure that:

  • You have at least three or more days before your project is due.
  • You already have a defined topic approved by your professor.
  • You have started your research and have a working bibliography.

Please note: Research consultations can be scheduled Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. Please allow 24-48 hours for a librarian to respond to your request and schedule the consultation.

Questions? Please contact Susanna Boylston, Assistant Director for Information Literacy & Content Selection (704-894-2494).
