The goal is to develop students' communicative competency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the elementary level. 201 Intermediate Chinese I Intermediate Chinese is a two-semester course (of which 201 is the first semester) in standard Chinese (Mandarin) designed for students who have had one year of Chinese at the college level. The goal is to develop students' communicative competency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the intermediate level. 202 Intermediate Chinese II Continuation of Intermediate Chinese I.
