Odyssey Programs What is The Odyssey? The Odyssey is an eight-day outdoor program designed to provide first-year students with a unique, challenging, and fun transition to life at Davidson. Why should I participate? These programs offer freshmen an opportunity to: Discover more about the diversity of experiences, interests, and talents that the Class of 2013 brings to Davidson Develop new friendships and explore issues about life at Davidson Experience those elements crucial to your life at Davidson - community, personal responsibility, and service What programs are available? You can choose from two different Odyssey experiences: the Backcountry Odyssey or the Service Odyssey. |

Strip Canoe Project Davidson Outdoors, as part of our experiential education outreach, has begun to build a strip canoe. We welcome new students to the project at anytime (and we ocassionally rope some in to help). To get involved, contact Ed Daugherty or Mike Goode at (704) 894-2623. |

Indoor Climbing Wall A perfect place to hang out on campus...literally! Here's why... Convenience: Located on the basement level of the Alvarez Union. Challenging: Learn what it takes to climb with confidence. Whether it's bouldering, rope climbing, or lead climbing, we'll show you the footwork it takes to aim high. Safety: The D.O. Staff is always available to offer assistance with any level of climber. Fun: Bring a friend along as a spotter...and cheerleader! |
