The pages with links highlighted below should help new students select their preferred first Davidson courses. Many questions students and parents ask each year are addressed in the first four links and in the "Frequently Asked Questions" link on the right of this screen. Further links will take you to the fall schedule of courses, to instructions about registering during June, and to ways to get help with course selection and registration.
• Need general suggestions? See Registration advice for choosing your first courses -- and we recommend you read this section first.
• Curious about specific subjects, majors, or particular pre-professional areas? See Course selection options with links to departments and programs.
• What's needed to earn a degree? See Graduation requirements regarding distribution and other requirements.
• Will you have potentially earned college credits or placement before arriving? See Pre-college credits regarding AP or other credits prior to enrollment at Davidson, including college courses taken while in high school.
Get some ideas about what you wish to register for after consulting the course schedule for the coming semester. After you have selected and prioritized a group of courses and alternatives, you will find instructions on how to file your preferences using "Web Tree."
***** IMPORTANT: for your preferences to be included in initial registration, you MUST complete the WebTree form on the web by midnight (Davidson time) on June 30. *****
Getting help is just an email away. New students will find here (around June 1) a list of experienced faculty advisers who can discuss choices with them via e-mail. In addition, departmental web pages often have names of people to contact who will be glad to help with regard to questions about the department and its program.
