Congratulations to the Davidson Math Jeopardy team---Bridget Cook '06, Daniel Orr '08, Sarah Rearden '08, & Aneesh Kulkarni '09---first place among 16 teams competing at the Joint MAA-SE/SIAM-SEAS meeting at Auburn University, March 31--April 1, 2006.

Other honors at that meeting:

• Aneesh Kulkarni's presentation, A Novel Countergraph Approach to Computing Ramsey Numbers, was named the best presentation in his student paper session;
• Prof. John Swallow was elected Section Lecturer for next year's MAA-SE meeting at Georgia Southern University; and
• Prof. Stephen Davis received the MAA Southeastern Section's annual Distinguished Service Award.
