Dolan Professor Ben Klein came to Davidson in 1971 after receiving his A.B. degree from the University of Rochester and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Yale. He is primarily interested in analysis, the branch of mathematics that includes calculus and differential equations, although his many secondary interests include algebra, number theory, probability, combinatorics, and teacher education, especially Davidson's Teacher Education Program. He has served as an editor of the problem section of the College Mathematics Journal and on the AP® Calculus Test Development Committee. Professor Klein was honored with Davidson's Hunter-Hamilton Love of Teaching Award in 2004. Email Homepage
