Leaders in Service

Organizing around social change provides students with an incredible opportunity to assume leadership roles.  Many opportunities exist both on and off campus for students to take on such positions.  While many students and organizations participate in service, the following are student-led organizations and initiatives that focus on service and social change.

Engage for Change
Engage for Change is a student-led, campus-wide initiative designed to unite the student body and engage in discourse regarding social change efforts. By combining efforts of several charted student organizations, the intense focus enables student to enounter and respond to one theme for social action throughout the course of an academic year.
Justice Dialogues
Justice Dialogues is a discussion series organized by students through the Community Service Office and facilitated by both faculty members and community leaders.
United Community Action
United Community Action (UCA) is a student-governing organization for over twenty student-run service groups that offer events and direct service opportunities for the campus community in partnership with a local nonprofit organization.
