The Entrepreneurship Initiative aims to:
- Foster a dynamic community of entrepreneurs with the aspirations and capacities to address challenging problems with innovative ideas;
- Build resources and structure to support students and young alumni in the conceiving, planning, launching, and growing of sustainable ventures;
- Be entrepreneurial in the way in which this initiative generates, tests, and evaluates key strategies and structures for entrepreneurship at Davidson.
This is a significant undertaking-requiring collective ownership from stakeholders on and off campus. As this initiative develops, we invite your ideas, participation, and feedback.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Internship Program
Building off our existing commitment to leadership and service, we are launching the Davidson Innovation & Entrepreneurship Internship Program for summer 2013. This program connects qualified Davidson students in full time internships with start-up companies, innovation oriented companies, venture capital firms, and entrepreneurial social ventures.
Davidson College Venture Lab
Davidson College Venture Lab is a new start-up incubator designed to accelerate the development of Davidson's founders and aspiring entrepreneurs through experiential education. Venture Lab is a full-time, immersive program that runs June 3-August 16 and is suited for all business models (for profit and not-for-profit). Learn More »
Compete in the IDEAS Competition
Do you have an idea for a program or enterprise rooted in social change toward the betterment of our community? The Davidson College Center for Civic Engagement would like to help fund your endeavor! The competition typically asks for IDEAS entries in the late winter/early spring and individuals/teams will present in a creative and unique pitch presentations in early April. If you are involved in entrepreneurship and innovation (or hope to be) please let us know what you are doing. This will help us accurately map alumni who are involved and interested in entrepreneurial efforts, and also provide instructive stories and cases. We also hope you will share your ideas for the Davidson Entrepreneurship Initiative. Offer an Internship for the New Innovation and Entrepreneurship Internship Program
Building off our existing commitment to leadership and service, we are launching the Davidson Innovation & Entrepreneurship Internship program. This program connects qualified Davidson students to full time internships with start-up organizations, innovation oriented companies, venture capital firms, entrepreneurial social ventures, and innovative roles within mature companies. Davidson College hopes that you will consider offering an internship for a student. Our students-grounded in a strong liberal arts background-are eager to apply their entrepreneurial instincts to real world problems and contribute to your organization.
