This Wednesday, December 12th, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm, in the CTL Open Tutoring Room, ITS invites you to drop in to the first in a series of open conversation gatherings that we are calling "Tech Talks". ITS staff will be on hand to brainstorm with you on technology topics of interest to you. We have planned a few topics as conversation starters and they include:

• Emerging Technologies: technologies likely to have an impact on learning and creative inquiry
• iPad Applications: apps for teaching and learning and personal productivity
• Crash Plan: a new secure online backup system for all your critical data
• OSX 10.8: Apple's new operating system
• Windows 8: Microsoft's new operating system
• Phishing: Fraudulent emails and websites that attempt to steal your information
