Professor of German and E. Craig Wall, Jr. Professor of Humanities, Burkhard Henke, has been selected as one of the 2012 recipients of the national Certificate of Merit, awarded by the American Association of Teachers of German for outstanding achievement in furthering the teaching of German in the United States. The award is presented annually to a select group of educators in the field of German.

Henke will be honored at the ACTFL Annual Convention in Philadelphia later this year.
