Davidson basketball coaches and players on both the men's and women's teams were voted as tops in the Southern Conference in a head coaches poll as they prepared for the conference tournament this weekend in Asheville.

The conference named Davidson sophomore forward De'Mon Brooks as men's basketball Player of the Year, and head coach Bob McKillop has been named for the seventh time. Wildcat junior forward Jake Cohen joins Brooks on the all-conference squad.

Her fellow coaches also named second-year women's head coach Michele Savage as Coach of the Year. Junior forward Sophia Aleksandravicius and sophomore guard Laura Murray were each named to the all conference team.
