In 2008, a group of inspiring Davidson students identified the need for a unique environment where women of all ages and backgrounds could learn leadership skills from one another. From that idea, the Davidson College Women's Leadership Conference was born. A student planning committee, with much appreciated support and guidance from the Chidsey Center, spends each year leading up to the conference developing themes, finding speakers, raising funds, and organizing our annual conference for 120 women in, or related to, the Davidson area. Through engaging speakers, interactive workshops, and poignant discussions, participants can consider what it means to be a contemporary woman while sharing and learning from others' experiences. Students and community members are paired with one another to encourage and foster new relationships while enriching their conference experience. We believe the conference gives women the opportunity to connect, share experiences, and enhance their leadership skills. We hope that you will be able to join us at this year's conference!
