The Davidson Athletic Foundation invites the public to spend an evening with Major League Baseball Hall of Famer and Los Angeles Dodger legend Tommy Lasorda on Wednesday, November 30. Lasorda will talk about his experience as a player and as a member of the Dodger organization for more than 60 years.

The event, "An Evening with Tommy Lasorda," will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Duke Family Performance Hall on the Davidson College campus. Seating is limited. Tickets are $30 for the general public and $20 for students. All proceeds benefit the Davidson College Baseball Scholarship Fund. Tickets can be purchased by calling 704-894-2135 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, or online at www.davidson.edu/tickets.

As a 20-year manager of the Dodgers, Lasorda compiled a 1,599-1,439 record with two World Championships, four National League pennants, and eight division titles. He is currently a special advisor to Dodger's owner and chair Frank McCourt, active in scouting, evaluating, and instructing minor league players.

He also acts as an advisor and representative for the Dodger's international affiliations, participating in more than 100 speaking engagements and appearances to charities, private groups, and military personnel each year.
