Age Discrimination Act of 1975 - protects individuals from discrimination based on age in programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance. The Act, which applies to all ages, permits the use of certain age distinctions and factors other than age that meet the Act's requirements. The Office for Civil Rights (U.S. Department of Education) and the U.S. Department of Labor, Civil Rights Center are the applicable agencies charged with enforcing this Act.
