Andrew O'Geen is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Davidson College. He received his PhD from Stony Brook University in 2011 and an MA from Georgia State University in 2006. His research interests are in American political institutions, judicial politics, public law, and inter-branch relations. His research on the legislative role of the president has been recently published in the Journal of Politics. His current research is focused on agenda setting and the dynamics of legal doctrine on the U.S. Supreme Court. At Davidson, he teaches courses in research methods and statistics, constitutional law, civil rights and liberties, the American Presidency and a seminar on U.S. Supreme Court decision making.
