Annual Gifts
Gifts of any size may be directed to the DAF general fund and/or to an NCAA Division I team at the college to provide support for operating budgets.

Scholarship Support

Named Expendable Athletic Scholarships
Named expendable athletic scholarships may be created with a minimum commitment of $10,000/year for four years for a total commitment of $40,000.

Young alumni may establish named expendable athletic scholarships with a minimum total commitment of $20,000 ($5,000/year for four years). This can be accomplished either individually or as a group. Individual commitments to this scholarship must not be less than $1,000 per year.

As a reminder, a young alumnus/a who wishes to make a commitment to this fund must meet one of the following requirements: 1) be part of the young alumni (0-10 years out) group for the duration of the pledge or 2) if the donor has fewer than four years before rolling out of the young alumni category, his or her pledge is greater than or equal to the Ne Ultra minimum annually for non-young alumni, which is currently $2,000.

Pooled Expendable Athletic Scholarship Funds *New*
As of March 11, 2011, alumni may contribute to pooled expendable athletic scholarship funds to provide much needed scholarship support for our Division I programs.

Pooled expendable athletic scholarship funds will exist (with donor support) for each of Davidson's NCAA Division I programs, with the exception of men's and women's basketball as scholarships for those programs are funded through the College's operating budget. A Men's, Women's and General pooled fund for expendable athletic scholarships will exist for those donors who prefer not to specify a team. Note: Our football program is a non-scholarship program and, therefore, would not be eligible for this pooled scholarship fund.

An alumnus/a may participate in supporting expendable athletic scholarships with a four-year commitment of a Ne Ultra level gift to the pooled fund. The donor may choose a specific team or may contribute to a Men's team, Women's team or General Scholarship pool.

Young alumni may also contribute to a pooled expendable athletic scholarship with Ne Ultra level commitments for four years ($750/year for those 0-5 years from their graduation; $1,000/year for those alumni who are 6-10 years from their graduation.)

The annual gift during the four-year commitment would include appropriate increases if a young alumnus/a were to age into a different Ne Ultra gift level during the course of the pledge period.

Endowed Scholarships
A named endowed athletic scholarship may be established with a minimum commitment of $200,000. Named endowed basketball scholarships may be created with a commitment of $1,000,000.

**Athletic scholarships cannot be established for football.
