Fellowship and service corp experiences generally last from eight months to two years and can be found in a diverse range of organizations, career fields and countries. These programs are popular with students upon graduation, since they can provide a great entry-level experience in a variety of fields, or provide a transitional year before continuing further studies. From teaching in under-resourced schools in India to saving endangered species in Alaska, there are literally thousands of interesting ways to spend a year serving, while gaining experience and learning more about yourself and your community.
