The Conference: Every year, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government hosts the Public Policy and Leadership Conference, aimed primarily at first and second year college students from historically underrepresented communities in the public policy sector. If selected, the students come to the Kennedy School for a free, 4-day conference, where they meet the directors of the country's competitive government sector fellowships, such as Truman, Pickering, PPIA, Rangel, etc. They also attend a graduate school fair, Kennedy School courses, and meet with graduate students who hold government fellowships.
The Application and deadline: November application for a February conference. Application forms, procedures and information are available here: http://www.hks.harvard.edu/degrees/admissions/pplc
Second-year and first-year students see the GFC chair Scott Denham early in the fall semester.
