The Center for Civic Engagement offers non-profit organizations a number of ways to connect with students to support organization efforts.
When working with students, it is important to remember the academic calendar. The first day of classes for the fall semester 2012 is Monday, August 27th. Fall Break is October 15th and 16th and Thanksgiving Break is from November 21st-26th. Exams begin on December 14th.

The staff of the Center for Civic Engagement sends out a weekly email filled with opportunities for community engagement to studetns who have self-selected to receive the updates.

Community Involvement Fair
|
|
This fair provides access to students, faculty and staff as they explore a wide-range of opportunities in our area and become familiar with the resources in our area around social change issues.

Service Scholar Program
|
|
Eighty students are involved in the Bonner Scholars Program at Davidson and all of those students are required to complete 140 hours of service each semester in addition to two summers of service. They are always looking for new ways to be involved - and they meet weekly and always welcome speakers from organizations!

When you enter an opportunity (one-time, short-term or long-term) into the database it will be accessed by Center staff when students are seeking opportunities.
