Davidson College "encourages student engagement with other cultures through domestic and international studies."  In addition to local service opportunities, the Center for Civic Engagement provides support for direct service experiences throughout the United States and abroad.  These trips allow students to learn about social issues, different cultures, and how to work together as a team for social change.
