Students involved with service contribute to a community-defined need while also learning about social issues and the value of community involvement. The Center for Civic Engagement connects students to direct service opportunities in a range of areas including health, housing, youth programs, families in crisis, hunger, and many more. Organizing around social change provides students with an incredible opportunity to assume leadership roles both on and off campus.
To take the first step to get involved with service at Davidson, students can complete an interest form that the Center for Civic Engagement will use to help find opportunites that fit student interests and needs. Fill out this form here: http://checkboxweb.davidson.edu/Survey.aspx?s=3c6f0e5fbb35419491e9803673bfd08d.
For more immediate information regarding getting involved in service, email Jared Smith, the Fellow for Civic Engagement.
