Faheem Rathore '12

The junior recipient of the 2010 Goodwin Exxon Award goes to a young man from Jacksonville, Fla. majoring in Political Science.

This student from the class of 2012 serves as a continual model of integrity and leadership. There may be no one more respected by his class. When he talks, am told that fellow students lean forward to be sure to catch all that he has to say. One of the most reliable people on campus, he always goes above and beyond to honor his commitments in a attentive, selfless way.

Although he has accomplished much at Davidson and beyond, his humble way of approaching jobs that need to be done encourages others to follow his lead. An SGA senator for the last three years, a Chidsey fellow, and President of the Muslim Students Association, this student exemplifies an inclusive style of leadership that regularly seeks input from others and listens deeply to what they have to say. As a hall counselor, he creates a supportive and welcoming experience for all of his freshmen, always concerned about enhancing the experiences of his peers.

For your humble nature and selfless service to many causes on this campus and beyond, we honor you today as the 2010 Goodwin Exxon Junior Award recipient.
