Dr. McKeever joined the Philosophy Department at Davidson College in 2005. He teaches a wide range of courses in ethics and related areas. Among the specific courses that he regularly offers at Davidson are Philosophy 215: Ethics, Philosophy 220: Political Philosophy, Philosophy 210: Games and Decisions, and Philosophy 140: Environmental Ethics. He has also taught seminars on various topics including, ethics and evolution, the good life, metaethics, and responding to evil. He is co-author (with Michael Ridge) of Principled Ethics: generalism as a regulative ideal (Oxford University Press, 2006). His primary research interest is contemporary moral theory. He received his Ph. D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
