Before Election Night 2010 we will be working with NC GOP Senator Richard Burr in his quest to get re-elected. Also, we'll be working with John Anarella, a GOP candidate for NC's 40th District Seat in the State Senate. Other fun things that we'll do is hold meetings once or twice per month to talk politics, hold a Voter Registration Drive in the Union, and hold a Pre-Midterm election debate between our organization and the Young Democrats. Our showcase event for the Fall will be a debate between renowned American journalists Peter Beinart and Jonah Goldberg. They will discuss the issues that surround the 2010 Midterm Elections. On Election Night, our organization will team up with the Young Democrats to host a party in the Union. In the Spring, we'll host a cookout to support the troops serving in Afghanistan, we'll have our annual wiffle ball game against the Young Democrats, and also host the annual State of the Union Party in the Outpost.

Who Can Join Davidson College Republicans??

• Davidson College Students or Staff
• Republicans or Democrats (A wide variety of policital viewpoints makes our meetings more lively!)
• Students/Staff with a strong interest in politics
• Students/Staff with little knowledge of politics, hoping to learn more about the landscape of Capitol Hill
