Professor David Brown will retire this summer after 15 years of teaching at Davidson. The chemistry department hosted a luncheon to mark the occasion on May 22nd at Campania Cafe on South Main Street. Family and department members, representatives from the administration, and other professional colleagues enjoyed a delicious meal and the presentation of several gifts. Brown indicated that he would cherish most the tribute book created by Professor Ruth Beeston.  It included letters, photos,  and other well wishes from colleagues and scores of Brown's former advisees.
