Throughout history mathematicians and artists have found inspiration in the symmetry and complexity of Polyhedra. We will explore artworks from the Renaissance to modern times that are based on various geometric shapes. After learning a little background geometry, participants will build a puzzle/sculpture designed by Dr. Eve Torrence. Through building this sculpture participants will gain a greater appreciation and understanding of the polyhedra based art works they have seen.
We will gather in Math Hall at 3:45 for our traditional light snacks.
