Davidson offers merit-based scholarships to approximately 10% of each entering class.  With awards ranging from $2000 to the full cost of attendance, the college seeks not only to recognize those students who emerge as the most powerful in each class, but to make it possible for those students to choose Davidson.

Every admitted student (whether Regular or Early Decision)  is considered for most merit-based awards.  Recipients are selected not only on the basis of their outstanding intellectual and personal strengths within the context of the current applicant pool, but also for their commitment to the life of the mind and their passionate engagement in the world around them. 

Awards are renewable annually, provided that recipients maintain the required grade point average and make expected progress toward graduation.
