Confirmed Instance of Tuberculosis at Davidson

Davidson College officials announced today that the Mecklenburg County Health Department has confirmed that a member of the Davidson College community has been diagnosed with active tuberculosis disease.

The health of the college community is of primary importance to Davidson, and the college is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy semester for all students, faculty and staff. Additional information about this situation will be posted as needed at www.davidson.edu/newsroom.

Student Singers and Community Choristers Tune Up to Perform Mozart Requiem
Davidson's Concert Choir, composed of college students and community members, will perform Mozart's "Requiem" on Monday, November 23.
Connor House Honored for Outstanding Support of Breast Cancer Research Charity
The women of Connor Eating House recently received quite an honor for their commitment to service. Friends For An Earlier Breast Cancer Test, Connor's partner organization, named a $40,000 research grant in honor of the house to recognize Connor's efforts in raising money and awareness for breast cancer research.
A Cappella Concert Will Benefit Children and Families Coping with Autism
Senior student Billy Powers is organizing a concert with Davidson's three student a cappella ensembles on Sunday evening, Nov. 15, to raise money to help local autistic children.
Artist Series Presents Montana Repertory Performing Classic "To Kill a Mockingbird"
The Montana Repertory Theatre will present the classic American tale To Kill a Mockingbird on stage at Davidson College on Thursday evening, November 12. The play will begin at 8 p.m. in Duke Family Performance Hall. The presentation at Davidson is part of the college's C. Shaw and Nancy K. Smith Artist Series of performances.
