2010 Benefits Open Enrollment

Please complete your open enrollment online

by November 6,  2009!

All employees are required to make their 2010 benefit selections online on Banner Self Service.  If you do not have access to a PC, computers will be available in the Human Resources office during the open enrollment period.  Computers will also be available for use at the Benefits Fair.  HR employees will be available that day to help employees with the enrollment process.

Just follow these easy steps to complete the process:

Step 1

  • Read the 2010 Open Enrollment News to learn more about this year's changes and offerings.
  • Familiarize yourself with the benefits available through Davidson College by reviewing our new Employee Benefits pages.
  • Davidson College is implementing a new emergency response system.  This email, text, phone and public address system will alert you if there is an emergency on campus.  Update your cell phone number at http://www2.davidson.edu/cellphone (requires logging in to the network).
  • Print a copy of the Open Enrollment Instructions and keep them close by while you work through the online process.

Step 2

To access the online open enrollment process:

  1. Open your web browser and go to Banner Self Service
  2. Enter your User ID (Davidson ID number found on your CatCard)
  3. Enter your PIN (if this is your first visit, your PIN is your date of birth in the format MMDDYY).  If you accessed Banner Self Service before, but have forgotten your password, you can click the "Forgot PIN?" button.  You will then be asked to answer your security question.  At that time, you will be able to enter a new PIN for future access.  If you had to reset your PIN, you'll need to shut down your web browser and start again with your newly created PIN.
  4. Once logged in, click on Employee Services
  5. Click on Benefits and Deductions
  6. Click on Open Enrollment
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Start Open Enrollment
  8. Click on the benefits groups to make your changes
  9. When you are finished, make sure to click the Complete button to submit your selections.
  10. Human Resources will mail you a confirmation statement and any additional forms that need to be completed.  Carefully review your confirmation for accuracy and return any completed forms immediately.

TO KEEP THE SAME LEVEL OF COVERAGE AS 2009

If you do not wish to make changes to any of your benefits for 2010, you may click the Complete button after clicking Start Open Enrollment.  Once you click Complete, Human Resources will mail you a confirmation statement and any additional forms needed.
