Spanish

The primary mission of the Spanish Department is to teach the language, literatures, and cultures of the Hispanic world.  Intermediate, and advanced level courses provide a learning experience conducive to mastering linguistic skills, developing critical thinking and  cultural analysis, to reach a profound understanding of the uniqueness of the context in which Spanish, Latin American, and U. S. Latino literary and cultural expressions emerge, and thrive within a global context.

For questions or comments regarding the Spanish Department, please contact the chair, Dr. Magdalena Maiz-Peña.
