  • Criminology
  • Deviance
  • Medicine
  • Work

Students participate in a variety of "hands-on" research, including:

  • Survey research,
  • In-depth interviewing
  • Ethnographic studies
  • Content analyses

The fundamental goal of the Department of Sociology at Davidson College is to understand and analyze distinctive social processes through sociological theory, methods of research design, and qualitative and quantitative analyses.
