Roddy Cobb

Adjunct Staff -  Cycling and Conditioning

Email: rmcobb@roadrunner.com

Roddy is an accomplished cyclist with over 15 years of training and competition under his belt. He first became involved in cycling through mountain biking. After taking up road cycling to improve his mountain bike performance, he formed a love for the road. Today he splits his time and passion between the road and mountain bike. Roddy has experience in mountain bike racing, road racing, criteriums, time trials, brevets, and long distance mountain rides and races including most of the local favorites (Bridge to Bridge Challenge, Blood, Sweat and Gears, Brutal 100, Three Mountain Madness and RAW).

While he enjoys riding and racing, his true passion is around coaching others to achieve and exceed their cycling and fitness goals. Roddy is a certified Group Exercise Instructor as well as a certified studio cycling instructor through Cycle Reebok. He has taught Indoor Cycling at the YMCA for 6 years, served as the cycling coach for the TRYMCA triathlon training class for multiple years and currently coaches cyclists and triathletes at Cool Breeze Cyclery's Fitness Studio. His technical knowledge of both cycling and fitness combined with an enthusiastic motivational style combine for a solid one-two punch.

Roddy lives in Mooresville (Mount Mourne) with his wife Lisa, son Mason and Lily the wonder dog.

He also has a really cool khaki hat but unfortunately it did not make it to the website. Perhaps he will wear it to class one day.
