Robin Wright, award-winning journalist, commentator and fellow at the U.S. Peace Institute, will speak on "Turmoil in Iran: What's Next? Local Developments and Global Consequences". One of America's most respected Middle East analysts, Ms. Wright will discuss recent developments in Iran, including this summer's contested presidential election, and their consequences for the region and for US-Iranian relations. Robin Wright has spent more than two decades covering the Middle East, particularly Iran, for The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Her work has also appeared in The New Yorker, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy and The Atlantic Monthly. She is the author of five books, including her most recent, Dreams and Shadows: The Future of the Middle East (2008). She appears frequently on CNN, The News Hour, Meet the Press, This Week, Larry King Live and Frontline.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Following the lecture, Ms. Wright will sign copies of Dreams and Shadows in the Brown Atrium.
