The Mission of Chidsey Leadership Development is:

To cultivate opportunities for Davidson students to build on their existing strengths and abilities so that they may be effective leaders in any group or setting in which they find themselves.

The Core Beliefs are:

• We believe that leadership is the ability to inspire or empower others to be a positive force in the community.
• We believe that all Davidson students have both the potential and the responsibility to exercise leadership for the common good.
• We believe that there are many effective ways to lead, and that a formal leadership role is not a prerequisite for leadership.
• We believe that there are many ways to learn leadership. Our job is to connect students to existing leadership development resources and to address unmet needs through our own programming.
