This year's winner of the A.K. Phifer Award is a talented young economist with a superb overall academic record and a stellar record in economics. She has demonstrated a fluency with economic theory and econometric applications that is rare among undergraduates, and that fluency is allowing her to take on advanced projects with a rigor seldom seen in students at her stage. The Department of Economics is pleased to present the A.K. Phifer Award to Emily K. Mesimer.
