Student Check-in, Alvarez College Union, Stadium Entrance (Union doors will not open before 8:30 a.m.)
You will receive important information and your Davidson College identification card ("CatCard"). Registration will take up to 45 minutes. Parents' check-in is located on the lower level of the same building, along with the Orientation Fair.  After you check-in, we recommend that you plan to meet your parents either at the Orientation Fair or in your residence hall.

After you check-in, you and your parents may want to visit with representatives from different college departments and programs who will be available to answer questions and describe their services. Some of the participating departments include Dining Services, Business Services, CatCard Services, Information Technology Services, and area banks.   

Move-in Continues, Residence Halls
For students who are moving in Thursday morning, please check-in at the Union before unloading your car. After registering, please follow the signs that direct you to the unloading area closest to your residence hall. Hall counselors will distribute room keys and important information to incoming students once you've unloaded and checked in at the Alvarez College Union.

Take a break from moving in and sit under the shade trees for lunch. First-year hallmates and their parents will sit together, as will transfer students. Come meet your new neighbors and friends!

Parents and students receive a special welcome from President Carol Quillen.

Hall meetings and social activities for new students.
