Chad Wellmon '99 wins Best Article of the Year
Former German student and Resident Director in Würzburg, Chad Wellmon '99 (University of Virginia), just got word that his article “Poesie as Anthropology: Schleiermacher, Colonial History, and the Ethics of Ethnography,” German Quarterly 79 (2006): 423–42, won the Max Kade Award for the best article of the year in German Quarterly for 2006. |

Day 352 in Germany
Today is my 352nd day abroad as a participant of Davidson’s study abroad program in Würzburg, Germany. Last year on July 28 as I waited to board the plane in the Charlotte airport, I expected that this year would be a good one, but I never expected that the time would go by so quickly. |
