Faculty and staff all over campus are contributing to sustainability efforts by reducing, reusing, and recycling. Every other week a new winner is selected and entered in a drawing for a sustainability prize! March 25, 2009The Green Committee, College RelationsJohn Syme (College Communications), Dawn Nelson (Annual Fund), Harriet Kessler (Parent Programs), Matt Hanson (Major Gifts) Kim Cline (WDAV) The Green Committee has taken on sustainability in College Relations, not only reducing, reusing, and recycling on their own, but encouraging their co-workers to as well. They held a competition last fall to see who could be the most green, they took a group of students and staff to a lecture in Charlotte by renowned environmentalist David Orr, and they are organizing the collection and proper recycling of used electronics for College Relations. They have also put up signs all over their offices reminding everyone to turn out the lights, print double-sided, and conserve water. Congratulations Green Committee! Winners will be announced in the EnviroNews electronic newsletter. Click here to sign up. Did you catch someone green handed? Email Kealy Devoy to nominate someone!
