Pre-medical students are required to take a minimum of eight courses:
- Chemistry 115, 215, 201, & 202;
- Biology 111 & 112; and
- Physics 120/130 & 220/230.
Faculty may recommend that students take other mathematics, biology, and English courses depending on the particular medical schools to which they apply.
Most students take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) at the end of their junior year; therefore, pre-medical courses should be completed before the senior year. In order to prevent possible course conflicts, students should carefully work with their advisors and the Pre-Medical Director when planning their schedules.
