On February 15, 2009, about fifteen Davidson friends and alumni gathered along St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans to celebrate their Davidson connection, the spirit of the carnival season, and a beloved local delicacy: crawfish.  This event marks the unofficial kick-off for the New Orleans chapter post-Katrina and represented an opportunity for friends and alumni to meet, connect, and share in a unique local tradition.  The group watched two parades roll by and ate crawfish late into the afternoon.  This event will be followed by the chapter’s official kick-off in May and the group is excited about additional programming to come.
